Lot Description
This beautiful Standard Silver dime shows Liberty wearing a plain diadem. Struck in silver with a plain edge, this pattern is rated Rarity-7-, with an estimated 7-12 pieces struck. This coin ranks as one of the all-time finest copper 10C Standard Silver Patterns known! Its quality is incredible. Superior deep mirrors prove copper coins can have superior clarity, cleanliness, and stunning flash. Even using a strong glass will yield not even the slightest imperfection. Beautiful and totally original colors of Mint red/gold/pale blue/pale green swirl all over. There is a small toning stain on the obverse rim at 3:00. Miss Liberty and every detail are fully struck and have thick frost. The eye appeal is tremendous! PCGS 1, NGC 0, CAC 1. This is by far the FINEST J-846 known. If you think about it, this coin is as rare as an 1894-S 10C! Technically, this coin could be every bit as special as a 94-S! Back to reality, a coin like this is a steal today. Cert.
