Lot Description
Superior Quality 1911 Indian Eagle 1911 Indian Eagle. MS-66+ (PCGS). CAC. The incredibly beautiful surfaces of this 1911 eagle border on pristine. Displaying superior frosty mint luster and warm golden-orange patina, both sides are free of even the most trivial distractions. Fully struck, the razor sharp detail extends even to the central high points. The 1911 ranks among the most available Indian eagles in Mint State and examples grading MS-60 to MS-66 are particularly popular for type purposes. However, at the uppermost reaches of this range the 1911 is a noteworthy condition rarity when viewed in the wider context of U.S. numismatics. This is one of the nicest examples that we have handled in recent memory, and it is sure to sell for a strong premium. PCGS Population: 7; 12 finer (MS-67+ finest). PCGS# 8868. NGC ID: 28GT.
