- A pretty much perfect Matte Proof Lincoln!
Hard to find any faults anywhere. There is a tiny toning dot behind the head on the obverse that is it. Using a strong glass the matte surfaces are quite impressive. The obverse is more a Mint red color while the reverse acquired some brown possibly from sitting on felt. There is a strong luster. Every detail is needle sharp in strike. The eye appeal is wonderful!
PCGS 10, NGC 6, CAC 6. The last PCGS CAC example to sell via auction brought $8,225 in January 2022. The current Collectors Universe value is $8,500. Having only 6 beaned is really not many coins. We do NOT see higher graded Matte Proof Lincoln's much anymore. This will be a great coin to add to any GEM set!
