1882 Three-Dollar Gold Piece. AU-50 (PCGS). 1854 Liberty Half Eagle. MS-63 (NGC). Light yellow-gold with a touch of green near the rims. One of the scarce dates as the reported mintage of 1,500 pieces leaves few for collectors today. The strike is sharp and the surfaces are smooth and attractive. Always seen with the 2 repunched high in the date.
