Lot Description
1834 Capped Bust Dime. JR-4. Rarity-3. Large 4. MS-65 (PCGS). A wonderful Gem with brilliant untoned surfaces that radiate frosty cartwheel luster as well as prooflike flash thanks to the early die state. Fresh die polishing lines are seen running vertically in the fields on each side. Commensurate with the assigned grade, the surfaces are remarkably smooth with only trivial abrasions seen under magnification. A top notch example for a high end type or date set, and undoubtedly a Condition Census example of this uncommon die variety as well. This is the single highest graded for the die variety at PCGS. Provenance: From the Iron Eagle Collection. PCGS# 38876. NGC ID: 237E. Click here for certification details from PCGS.
