Lot Description

1830 Capped Bust Half Dollar. O-117. Rarity-2. Small 0. MS-62 (NGC). Dominant pale-gold iridescence is enhanced by outlines of bolder steel-gray color to the devices. This is a somewhat later die state with an overall softness to the detail and some evidence of die swelling (as made) in the fields, but the lack of appreciable rub means that the major devices till present as suitably bold. Satiny in texture, and free of mentionable abrasions.
