1877 Liberty Seated Half Dollar. Proof-64 (PCGS). CAC. Richly original mauve-gray patina is backlit by iridescent cobalt blue and pale gold. Both sides are fully struck, as befits a Proof, with reflectivity evident in the fields. An expertly produced and wonderfully original survivor from a mintage of 510 Proofs, the lowest for a Liberty Seated half dollar from 1874 through the series' end in 1891.
