1898 Liberty Head Eagle. MS-65 (PCGS). Exceptionally smooth and attractive surfaces exhibit subtle powder blue highlights to dominant deep rose-gold patina. Fully struck with bountiful mint luster. A generous mintage of 812,310 circulation strikes conceals the scarcity of this late date issue in the Liberty Head eagle series. At the upper reaches of Mint State preservation the present example is rare from a condition standpoint and would do nicely in an advanced type or date set.
