Lot Description

Strong, frosty mint luster shines forth powerfully from surfaces that are only lightly toned, and then again mostly at the peripheries. The strike is impressively full for a Lettered Edge Capped Bust half dollar, and the in-hand appearance is smooth enough to suggest an even higher grade. In solidly graded MS-64, this lovely example qualifies as Condition Census for the 1829 O-117 dies per the listing in the Spring 2025 revision to Stephen J. Herrman's AMBPR for Bust half dollars.
