1850-O Liberty Head Eagle. Winter-1. AU-55 (NGC). A bright golden-yellow example with only a trace of light wear that hardly interferes with predominantly sharp striking detail. From a mintage of just 57,500 pieces, the vast majority of which saw heavy commercial use. Given the rarity of Mint State survivors, upper end circulated examples such as this are in high demand among serious Liberty Head eagle and New Orleans Mint enthusiasts.
