A bold and brilliant CHOICE Mint State 84-S double eagle. Strong rolling cartwheels roll unimpeded and uninterrupted across the bright yellow-gold surfaces and well struck devices. Some minor ticks are noted and are acceptable for the assigned grade with little impact to the outstanding eye appeal. PCGS 460, NGC 118. The most recent PCGS MS63 without CAC approval sold for $4,333 in February 2022 and the current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $6,500. RARE FINER, PCGS has graded only a handful above MS64.
