Lot Description

A marvelous, totally original super slider. Rich orange-gold with vivid honey-amber accents. Only the slightest hint of high point friction keeps this coin from a full Mint State designation. Typical of a large gold coin there are a few tiny ticks, but the eye appeal is SUPERB for an early Type I twenty! PCGS 62, NGC 182, CAC 30. There are TWO coin graded AU58+ at PCGS, and neither have sold in auction. There is an APR for an NGC coin, not CAC approved for $5,288 back in October 2012 and the current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $5,950. Bound for an "Everyman" set or just a neat collection of totally original double eagles. Cert. Number 25636628 PCGS # 8904
