1723 Rosa Americana Penny. Martin 2.26-Eb.8, W-1278. Rarity-6. MS-61 (PCGS). 121.8 grains. The deep chestnut-brown surfaces of this lustrous Mint State Rosa Americana penny appear glossy and choice to the unaided eye. Low magnification reveals some minor roughness, as struck and as virtually always seen in the Rosa series. The devices are particularly bold and marks are at an absolute minimum -- you won't find any with the naked eye. A rare variety in an outstanding state of preservation, and definitely choice for the grade.
