1787 New Jersey Copper. Maris 32-T, W-5100. Rarity-3. Outlined Shield. AU-53 (PCGS). CAC. The medium golden-brown surfaces of this attractive New Jersey copper offer no readily available marks to the unaided eye other than some light ticks, in the planchet when struck and largely visible under low magnification. Obverse rim tight to tops of NOVA, toning spot in the field below the V, natural planchet flaw at 5 o'clock on the rim, reverse evenly centered and completely undisturbed to the naked eye. Choice for the grade.
