Lot Description

Blended olive and medium gold colors with traces of mint luster discernible as the surfaces dip into a light. Both sides are sharply to fully defined throughout the design. An overall nice example with excellent eye appeal. Like many of the early eagle issues in the Liberty Head series very few examples of the 1843-O were saved at the time of delivery, survivors much scarcer than a relatively significant mintage of 175,162 pieces might imply.
