The Standing Liberty series is a serious challenge to complete in Full Head because of dates like the 26-S which is notorious for the flat strikes. The presently offered example ranks high among 64s in terms of visual allure. The strike is bold, with crisp definition, even among the brads on the shield. A soft champagne tone dusts the brilliant silver surfaces with richer areas of cobalt and crimson toning at the upper obverse periphery and splashes at the lower reverse. PCGS 20, NGC 9. The most recent example in MS64 FH to sell was in June 2013, where one sold for $8,813 and the current PCGS Price Guide is listed at $11,000. This coin has a ton of character and will delight any serious Standing Liberty quarter set.
