Lot Description

1884 Liberty Seated Half Dollar. Proof-66 (NGC). CAC. Deeply patinated, otherwise pink-gray surfaces reveal more vivid undertones of crimson-orange, light-gold and cobalt-blue colors as the surfaces dip into a light, particularly on the reverse. The strike is razor-sharp and a fully vibrant finish flashes into view at direct angles. Conditionally scarce for the type, and of further importance given the low mintage status of the circulation strike 1884 Liberty Seated half dollar. PCGS# 6445.
