A perfect specimen. Both sides are untoned with a full strike and profound field to device contrast. The 1995-W is the first silver eagle to bear the distinct W mintmark of the West Point Mint. Only 30,125 pieces were produced to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the silver eagle bullion coin program. With the lowest mintage among Proof silver eagles, and representing a historic point in this series, the 1995-W has proved so popular with numismatists that it is ranked No. 4 in the fourth edition (2017) of the influential reference <em>100 Greatest U.S. Modern Coins</em> by Scott Schechter and Jeff Garrett.
