1879/'8' Liberty Eagle. Breen-6993. AU-53 (NGC). Boldly detailed with reddish-green toning and strong copper-orange accents near the devices and peripheries. Walter Breen identified this as an 1879/8 overdate variety, although this overdate is no longer widely recognized.
