Given the remarkable level of pristine quality seen throughout, it's hard to believe there could be a finer 1882 proof dime in existence, yet the PCGS population guide indicates a single higher-grade example. Glassy fields furnish incredibly deep mirrors, upon which the luxuriously frosted devices enjoy intense contrast, and neither side displays even a smidgeon of color. Sharp details remain immune from any possible distraction as the cataloger could not find even a micro-tick worthy of mention.
