Lot Description
1837 Modified Matron Head Cent. N-13. Rarity-2. Plain Cord, Medium Letters. MS-65 RB (PCGS). CAC. A lovely example of this variety which shows decent brick-red color and very attractive surfaces. The strike is sharp for this later die state, and we note minor flow lines and the usual light crack through the tops of the entire legend. One small dark identifier is noted to the left of Liberty's chin for future pedigree information. Scarce in any Gem grade, this coin should please most collectors. Population: 22 in 65 RB; 7 finer (66 finest). PCGS# 1736. Click here for certification details from PCGS.
