Lot Description
1795 Flowing Hair Silver Dollar. BB-25, B-6. Rarity-3. Three Leaves. VF-25 (PCGS). A golden-gray example with hints of light russet here and there on the obverse. This is a boldly defined coin for the grade with a nicely centered strike, although the lower left obverse periphery is softly defined due to being in opposition to an area of extensive adjustment marks (as made) on the reverse. The latter features are also seen in other places around the reverse periphery, as well as in the center on that side, but detail to the major design elements is unaffected. BB Die State III, by far the most frequently encountered for this relatively obtainable variety of the 1795 Flowing Hair silver dollar. PCGS# 6852. NGC ID: 24WZ. Provenance: From the Alexander Collection. Collector envelope included.
