- Lot Description
- Tied for second FINEST PCGS graded 36-S Oregon half dollar and bested by just a single MS68+. Gorgeous, pristine surfaces have a bold, satiny mint glow that accents the original, pearly silver that shows just the slightest touch of orange-gold at the rims. The devices are sharply struck up with full, complete definition on both sides. Only 5,006 were struck and of that mintage, just a single coin has graded finer. PCGS 9, NGC 21, CAC 11. The most recent example sold in June 2019 for $5,760 and the current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $7,500. The single MS68+ graded finer has never sold in auction, making this as fine an example as you can hope to obtain in the current market. Cert. Number 38264067 PCGS # 009346
