1800 Draped Bust Half Dime. LM-1. Rarity-3--Defective Planchet @ 6 O'Clock--AU-55 (PCGS). An impressive example physically as well as aesthetically. Soft golden gray surfaces exhibit lively luster and rich rainbow iridescence as well as exceptional in-hand appeal. The devices are sharp for the grade and design type. Careful examination reveals a tiny planchet flaw, as struck, that is virtually impossible to detect owing to the gasket in the PCGS holder and is limited to a space of about two or three dentils-- it's there but you won't be bothered by it <em>after </em>you finally locate it. Choice and appealing, and worthy of a premium bid.
