Lot Description

O-125. The condition census of this R-3 variety stops at MS60, so this coin is just below the census. Brilliant satiny mint luster with nearly full, swirling cartwheels. Light friction on both sides of this untoned early half is all that keeps this coin from a full Mint State grade. We see some minor lines but the overall eye appeal is decent. PCGS 388, NGC 118. The most recent example to sell in auction realized $900 in January 2018 and the current PCGS value is listed at $1,100. A somewhat scarcer variety that will find its way into an advanced cabinet of Bust halves. Cert. Number 25619864 PCGS # 6144
