Losbeschreibung
Bronze, champagne-apricot and pale gold iridescence drift toward the borders of this otherwise snowy-white Gem, complementing the rich satiny texture of the luster. The original finish remains unbroken by any marks or other blemishes of note. This commemorative half dollar was issued to mark the 100th anniversary of the admission of Missouri into the Union. Lagging sales resulted in 29,600 examples of the plain variant being returned to the Mint for remelting, leaving a net mintage of 15,400 pieces. With most survivors grading no finer than MS-64, this premium quality upper end Gem is sure to catch the eye of advanced commemorative enthusiasts.
