1794 Talbot, Allum & Lee Cent/John Howard Mule. W-8720. URS-9. LONDON Edge. AU-58 (PCGS). Golden tan surfaces. Central weakness present as typical for the issue. A popular mule that melds the reverse die of a Talbot, Allum & Lee cent with the obverse of a Conder token, specifically D&H-56, Hampshire. Pleasing to the eye and a neat go-with to the "colonial" discipline, an issue that has grown in popularity by leaps and bounds in recent times as American collectors expand their numismatic horizons.
