Lot Description
RATTLER MANIA! This coin is yet one more example of why so many of the first generation PCGS holders obtain CAC stickers! This coin looks like a lock PR66 if not finer by today's grading standards (no guarantees). Deep golden red color accentuates immaculate, highly reflective and mirrored surfaces. The devices are struck to full advantage. The only mark is a tick on Liberty's cheekbone that you need a strong loupe to spot. PCGS 26, NGC 13, CAC 3. With a mintage of a mere 1,725, this coin has to be in the top 20% of extant specimens, considering that of even the higher graded coins, only 4 have obtained the coveted CAC designation, the finest of those being a PR66RD. The last time a PR65RD traded hands was our Regency sale held in October 2019 where the Young-Dakota piece brought $1,234. PCGS Price Guide is $1,450 and this coin is worth every penny of that valuation, if not more! Good luck! Cert. Number 7228345 PCGS # 2407
