1879 Liberty Seated Dime. MS-67+ (PCGS). CAC. Gold Shield Holder. The vivid powder blue and reddish-pink peripheral toning that adorns the obverse is much more widely distributed on the reverse of this breathtakingly beautiful Superb Gem. Highly lustrous with a satiny texture, this smartly impressed and expertly preserved example will delight even the most discerning bidder. Popular with collectors due to a limited mintage of 14,000 circulation strikes, the 1879 is relatively obtainable in Mint State since many examples were set aside by contemporary numismatists.
