Lot Description

1794 Talbot, Allum & Lee Cent. With NEW YORK. W-8590. URS-12. Small & on Reverse. Lettered Edge. Proof-60 BN (PCGS). CAC. Dominant olive-brown patina to the obverse, the periphery on that side retains some of the original, albeit faded, rose-orange color. For the reverse we note a blend of pinkish-red color and gray-brown toning, the latter largely confined to the field. Modestly, yet appreciably mirrored in finish, with a sharp to full strike throughout. There are no singularly distracting contact marks, and a couple of minor strikethroughs in the lower right obverse field are as struck.
