- Lot Description
- 1861 Seated Liberty Half Dime. Proof-66 Cameo (NGC). CAC. Bulls eye toning in olive-gold, cobalt-blue and pinkish-silver colors greets the viewer from the obverse of this fully impressed Gem. The reverse is more brilliant, but it does exhibit halos of sandy-rose and sea-green iridescence around the periphery. Distracting blemishes ar conspicuous by their absence, confirming the conditionally rare status of this delightful Legend Obverse Seated half dime. Cameo finish specimens are in the distinct minority among survivors of this issue.
