1869 Pattern Dime. Judd-703, Pollock-782. Rarity-6+. Silver. Plain Edge. Proof-65 (NGC). Obverse of the Standard Silver bust of Liberty with no stars on tiara, legends and motto surround. Reverse with an open oak and laurel wreath within which is 10 / CENTS, around is STANDARD SILVER above with date below. Sparkling white mirror fields offset the frosted devices of this well struck and scarce coin. Aside from this Gem, NGC has seen three at this grade level with the Cameo contrast, but just one finer as PR-66. PCGS# 60928. NGC Census: 1; 1 finer (PR-66 finest) within designation.
