Lot Description

1873-CC Seated Liberty Half Dollar. Arrows. WB-102. Small CC. EF-40 (NGC). Moderately toned in blended lavender-gray and steel-gray shades, this piece displays only the expected amount of wear for a CC-mint Half at the EF grade level. Ample boldness of detail remains, as such, although the strike is a tad soft along the upper-obverse border. There are no abrasions of note, although a somewhat glossy texture points to a light cleaning that the toning is meant to conceal. The 1873-CC Arrows is a scarce issue in all circulated grades, and it enjoys heightened demand among mintmarked type collectors given the greater rarity of the 1874-CC.
