1839 Modified Matron Head Cent. N-14. Rarity-3. Booby Head. AU-50 (PCGS). A noteworthy example of this tougher Booby Head variety. Bluntly struck but with exceptional quality surfaces. Slightly lustrous chocolate-brown with no distractions. Very little actual wear and was graded NGC MS-61 BN in the Reiver sale. Provenance: From the John McBride Collection.
