1870 Pattern Dime. Judd-826, Pollock-916. Rarity-6+. Proof-63 (PCGS). Standard Silver design with Liberty seated left on the obverse, her right hand supporting a shield with a ribbon inscribed LIBERTY and her left holding an olive branch. A free-standing liberty pole is behind the portrait, the legend UNITED STATES OF AMERICA is around the border and the date 1870 is below. On the reverse, a wreath of cereals surrounds the denomination 10 CENTS with the word STANDARD above. Struck in silver with a plain edge.<br /> &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Beautiful surfaces are veiled in original rose-gray, powder-blue and champagne-pink iridescence, the reverse the more vivid of the two sides. A well-mirrored finish comes to the fore at more direct angles.
