1896 Pattern Cent. Judd-1767, Pollock-1982. Rarity-7-. Nickel (Non-Magnetic Alloy) or German Silver. Plain Edge. Proof-63 (PCGS). CAC. central federal-style shield, LIBERTY on draped ribbon, crossed poles behind, liberty cap on one, eagle on the other, E PLURIBUS UNUM above, stars flank 7X6, tiny date below, reverse with UNITED STATES OF AMERICA around a circular olive branch, 1 / CENT within. Fully brilliant and delightfully lustrous with pale champagne iridescence on bright silver surfaces. About a dozen or so examples of Judd-1767 are thought to exist.
