Lot Description
A very high grade and impressive SUPERB GEM example of this low mintage late date Seated Liberty quarter. Only 12,000 were struck, and this one ranks among the 9 finest graded by PCGS. We are note entirely sure how this coin was stored prior to being graded, but the toning pattern is intriguing, colorful, unique, totally original, and visually very pleasing. Words do not do justice, you need to view this coin to truly appreciate its beauty. Blues, golds, greens, and pinks meld together over intensely brilliant surfaces. The devices are sharply struck, and aside from a stray tick or two, this coin appears FLAWLESS! The eye appeal is amazing! PCGS 30, NGC 27, CAC 16. There are 6 in MS67+, but do not let that fool you these rarely appear in auction! The last PCGS MS67+ to sell in auction was over five years ago! The current PCGS Price Guide value is $10,000 and it jumps to $25,000 in MS68. Bound for a fantastic Liberty Seated quarter set or type set; either way, bidding will be intense! Cert. Number 27926735 PCGS # 5522
