Lot Description

An originally toned specimen with olive-gray, power blue and pinkish-rose iridescence adorning the obverse and periphery on the reverse. The center on the latter side is brilliant, and strike detail is razor sharp throughout. Associated by date and mint with a low mintage circulation strike issue, the 1884 is one of the more eagerly sought Proofs from the later Liberty Seated half dollar series.
