1794 Liberty Cap Half Cent. C-9. Rarity-2. Manley Die State 2.0. High-Relief Head. VF-30 (PCGS). The High-Relief Head <em>Guide Book </em>variety is not denoted on the PCGS insert. Bold medium copper patina blankets both sides, the obverse somewhat lighter than the reverse. The surfaces are a bit granular, especially on the reverse, but there are no sizeable abrasions or other blemishes to report. The major devices are boldly defined in the presence of moderate, yet even wear. Vying with C-2a, C-9 is one of the most plentiful die marriage of the 1794 half cent and, as such, enjoys strong demand among both early copper specialists and type collectors.
