Lot Description

1739-W French Colonies Sou Marque. Lille Mint. Vlack-200. Rarity-2. MS-63 (PCGS). 31.4 grains. Although designated as a Rarity-2 issue, there are a mere three examples certified by PCGS, and this piece is the only one graded by that service in Mint State. A well preserved piece with the original silvered finish virtually intact. A broad planchet lamination extends diagonally from the lower left reverse border across the center, but there are no obvious post-strike marks or flaws seen on either side.
