Lot Description

1870 Pattern Dollar. Judd-1017, Pollock-1151. Rarity-7-. Copper. Plain Edge. Proof-62 BN (NGC). The obverse is Longacre's Indian Princess design while the reverse sports the regular design of the dollar of that year.<br /> Attractive for the modest grade with traces of mint color in the recesses of the design with the balance toned a light tan to brown. The strike is solid with strong definition throughout. No detrimental spots and aside from faint hairlines the surfaces are quite nice. One of perhaps a dozen or so known.
