1942 Washington Quarter. FS-801. Doubled Die Reverse. MS-66 (PCGS). Dappled gray and violet iridescence on frosty surfaces. The most pronounced doubling appears to be at the tips of the wreath stems and in the letters "ER D" in QUARTER DOLLAR. This is the only example of the variety certified by PCGS above the MS-64 level. PCGS# 146057. PCGS Population (FS-801 attribution only): just 1; and none are finer.
