Lot Description

1722 Wood's Hibernia Halfpenny. Harp at Left. Martin 4.1-Bb.1. Rarity-5. EF-45 BN (NGC). Otherwise even orange-brown patina yields to splashes of warmer olive-gray color here and there on the obverse. The surfaces are curiously smooth with a somewhat glossy texture, but they present well to the eye and allow ready appreciation of boldly defined features.
