1854-D Liberty Head Half Eagle. Large D. VF-35 (PCGS). Well defined for a mid grade Dahlonega Mint five from the 1850s, this appealing Choice VF also offers handsome patina in warm medium gold. Faint traces of original luster persist in the protected areas around the devices, further enhancing this coin's appeal for circulated mintmarked gold type purposes.
