The 1899 Morgan dollar is not a particularly rare issue in Mint State, in spite of its fairly low mintage of just 330,000 circulation strikes. Lovely examples of this date are plentiful enough for today's appreciative numismatic audience, and even those on the tiniest of numismatic budgets can afford an attractive and pleasing Mint State example, at least in grades up to and including MS-65. Once you concern yourself with an example in MS-66+ an higher grades, as here, your options are limited. This is an uncommonly high quality offering for the advanced collector specializing in America's favorite silver dollar series.
