A beautifully toned near-GEM example of this HOT-50 VAM variety. Magnificent blues, greens, violets, and gold hues swirl over the obverse in waves. Most of the obverse is toned over, save for a brilliant silver spot at the lower right rim from 97 through the stars and base of Liberty's hair curls. The color rates an 8.5++ so close to 9 on our 10-point color scale. Sharply struck and generally clean. The eye appeal is simply stunning. This high end example shows off a few minor ticks but the eye appeal is ultra high end for the assigned grade. Cert. Number 40246360 PCGS # 7246.00
