Lot Description

Essentially untoned surfaces allow ready appreciation of bold field to device contrast, although the cameo finish goes unmentioned on the older (Generation 4.0) PCGS holder. As an issue, the 1871 is far more challenging to obtain in attractive high grade preservation than the Proof Liberty Seated half dollars of the 1879 to 1891 era.
