Lot 1207 1842-D. Small date. PCGS graded AU-55.A descent strike in pale greenish color gold and untoned with bright surfaces throughout. The strike is shapr on all of Liberty's curls and the eagle's feathers, right down to the shield lines. Only 200 or so are estimated to have survived, this one is in the top quarter of those known.
