Lot Description
THE BOYLSTON COLLECTION, PART IV You would think with a 710 mintage, more Deep Cameo Proofs would have survived! However, that is NOT the case! After 35+ years of grading coins, PCGS and NGC combined have graded fewer than a dozen examples in the DCAM or UCAM designation. How is that for RARE? Deeply beaming mirrored fields are bold, flashy and brilliant. Just a line or two from a full GEM grade, they are sleek, icy, and very clean. The devices display a thick, white frost that stands out in stark relief from the fields. A hint of the faintest toning can be found, but this beauty will fit nicely in an untoned set for sure. Only 710 Proofs were struck. PCGS 2, NGC 0, CAC 2. This is the only PR64+ DCAM and it sold for $4,320 in its most recent appearance, which was back in March 2018. The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $7,250. Just three are graded finer, and this coin is worthy of a strong bid. Cert. Number 34970164 PCGS # 96448
