Lot Description

1859-O Liberty Seated Dime. Fortin-103. Rarity-3. Medium O. MS-66 (NGC). This stunning high grade dime exhibits subtle semi-prooflike tendencies to otherwise satiny mint luster. Lightly toned in pale iridescent gold, the surfaces are silky smooth and feature a sharp strike. Although ranking among the easier New Orleans Mint Liberty Seated dimes to locate in lower grades, the 1859-O is scarce to rare above the VF level.
